- AUSSIBLUE swazi grass is a fine leafed perennial turfgrass which spreads by stolons.
- It produces a dense soft turf that has an attractive green colour.
- Low maintenance turf grass in comparison to others.
- It is more vigorous than queensland blue couch (Dlgitaria didactyla).
- Diseases such as dollar spot which badly effects queensland blue couch under
suitable weather conditions has not been observed on Aussiblue. - Will compete with bahia grass (Paspalum notatum).
- Browns off following frost but greens up during warmer weather and recovers rapidly in spring.
- Produces some viable seed but is only available as turf.
- Main use sports fields, golf course fairways and domestic lawns.
