SARAJI Sabi Grass is perennial stolonferous tropical grass suited for pasture and finding increasing use in reclamation of heavy clay and alkaline soils following open-cut mining.

During field trials this grass produced cover of 20% in 12 months compared with 0.3% for rhodes grass and 10% for buffel grass.

It has the ability to germinate and establish on moderately saline soils.

Better at controlling erosion on sloping land than the standard buffel/rhodes grass mix

It has a better winter growth than the tufted Nixon.

It has excellent drought tolerance.

Palatable to livestock.
